Adam Poppleton

Our Managing Director and Principal Consultant, Adam Poppleton, has worked for over 20 years in senior Operational Management, IT Management, Service Management and Programme Management so brings a wealth of practical experience in how benefits can be realised.

His experience spans businesses ranging from International Blue Chip to SME's, Local Government to Telecomms, Business Services to Education. From corporate-wide transformational programmes for business critical systems to the everyday management of complex IT services, he has led developments in benefits realisation management, best practice Service Management, governance, audit and process improvement.

 

He is also an accomplished trainer and course developer, an ISEB Approved Tutor and experienced at using either a coaching or classroom based approach. In 2013 he was a finalist for itSMF Trainer of the Year.

 

In addition, Adam has worked on the British Standards Institute (BSI) committee revising the international ISO/IEC20000 standards, chaired their working group responsible for developing guidance for SME's looking to gain certification and co-authored their book on Service Management for small IT teams. He was also a reviewer for the ITIL V3 update.

Passionate about his field, he is well placed to speak from personal experience and is regularly invited to speak at conferences and other events.

 

Adam is well respected as an active member of professional bodies working at the forefront of the industry; sitting on executive committees of the IT Service Management Forum (itSMF) and the Service Management Specialist Group of the British Computer Society (BCS).
