Following a successful career in IT Technical Operations, IT Management and then as a Business Problem Troubleshooter and an in-house Service Management Expert, Adam Poppleton began BrightOak Consultancy in November 2009. It started with a single consultancy contract to help manage the IT Service Management processes to support a BMC Remedy implementation. Due to his ability, his reputation within the industry and the number of clients rapidly grew. In 2011 Adam co-authored the BCS book, IT Service Management for Small IT Teams, based on the wealth of experienced he had as both an IT Manager and an IT Service Management Consultant. Since then the company has grown and now successfully works for clients ranging from small businesses to blue-chip, global industry leaders, offering a wide range of consultancy services within the IT management field. As part of our first contract we created our first training course; a basic introduction to Service Management, which in turn led on to other training opportunities. Adam Poppleton swiftly became recognised for the quality and outcomes from his courses and in 2013 was a finalist for ITSM Trainer of the Year. Now, with our own resources, as well as links to a large number of highly respected trainers, training providers and examination bodies, we provide a wide range of training options for our clients. Having provided in-person training courses to audiences around the world; UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia and North America, as well as Remote Instructor Led Training (RILT) to every continent, we are experienced and well placed to be able to meet our client’s needs.
